In the pink.

Crepe myrtleI have been waiting for my pink crepe myrtle to finally bloom.  And sure enough, this week it finally did.  All the way to the middle of August before blossoms.  The white one bloomed in July this year.

And then there’s my pink African violet.  It’s an old plant, and it had grown this less than beautiful “trunk” that it hatches little plantlets from. I finally decided to divide it up and give everybody their own pot.  I had hoped the “mothership” would then redistribute herself in a more centralized location rather than off to one side of her pot while she grew baby violets.

She reacted to my ministrations by refusing to bloom.  Until this week.Pink violet

Maybe it’s pink week. Pink wink.  Pink, pink, you stink, week. Uh, oh, sorry…

So, anyway, my flowers bloomed!  Yaaaaay!
